Our Correspondent

Itanagar, June 1: The People’s Party of Arunachal has expressed solidarity with the people of Assam in the matter of the 11-hour hunger strike of May 28 against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

Assam and Arunachal would be affected the most by the Bill, a PPA member said, adding Assam has a large number of Bangladeshi refugees while Arunachal has a very high number of Chakmas.

Assam is boiling because of the proposed Bill as seen by the stir of 28 organisations while Arunachal is no exception, PPA said in a release.
