Pradhan Mantri Surakhshit Matritva Abhijan launched in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh, June 9: Pradhan Mantri Surakhshit Matritva Abhijan (PMSMA) was launched on Thursday at Dibrugarh State Dispensary   under which health check-up of three and six months pregnt women, identification of critical pregnt women  and their special measures, nutrition, family planning, child delivery and  child care of new born babies and other similar advice will be given on the ninth day of every month. The programme was iugurated with the lighting of lamp by Deputy Commissioner MS Manivann, who in his deliberation, laid importance on the successful implementation of Matritva Abhijan. He expressed hope that within a year a lot would be achieved if the PMSMA scheme was successfully executed   

The meeting was attended amongst others by Joint Director of District Health Department, Dr. Paban Swarkar, and District Project Mager of tiol Health Mission (NHM) Manisha Buragohain and District Media Specialist, Bikash Gogoi , as special guests.  The health officials of Dibrugarh State Dispensary, Dr. Chakreswar Sarmah, Dr. Himakshi Baishya , Basanta Bordoloi and Bishnu Bhushal and others also attended the meeting. The PMSMA scheme was launched with the motto ‘Aai’ r Surakshak e Konmanitir Bhabishyat Ujolabo’. The district administration and the Health Department  have  urged upon the people to extend their cooperation  for the success of the project.
