Pradhan reviews BCPL project work progress

DIBRUGARH,  April  17:  Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Petroleum and tural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan during his visit to much hyped ambitious project Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL)  plant here at Lepetkata in Dibrugarh District on Thursday ,formally iugurated several units, including   Central Control Room, Compressed Air supply – Nitrogen Plant and Gas sweetening Plant.

The other dignitaries who  present at the iugural ceremony were Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for  Sports and Youth Affairs , Sarbanda Sonowal, M.P Jorhat HPC, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, M.P Dibrugarh HPC, Rameswar Teli, MLA,Dibrugarh LAC, Prasanta Phukan,CMD, Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) B. C. Tripathy, Maging Director, BCPL, Prabhu th Prasad, Director of Fince, BCPL, O.P.Tailor and senior officials of Engineers India Limited (EIL).

The minister reviewed the work progress of the project persolly and expressed satisfaction over the progress of project work. Pradhan also asked the BCPL authority to complete the rest of the work as early as possible so that the project could be handed over to the tion soon.

The BCPL sources revealed that the project will be commissioned as per schedule in June this year.

Meanwhile, sources claimed, physical progress of the project till March, 2015 was 99.5 percent while overall construction progress was registered as 98.7 percent.
