GUWAHATI, Jan 9: As All Koch-Rajbongshi Students’ Union (AKRSU) leader Bishwajit Ray resigned as the president of the Union, the new AKRSU central committee was formed today at its executive meeting held at Bongaigaon.
Ray told the press today: “I have served the organization for more than 14 years, and now I don’t have my age to work as a student. I want to give opportunities for young candidates. We, therefore, have formed the new central executive committee of the union with Pradip Ray as its president and Gakuk Barman as the general secretary. I will be involved as the advisor of the organization. The new committee of All Koch-Rajbongshi Mahila Samittee (AKRMS) was also formed with Purabi Sarkar and Bi Das as president and general secretary respectively, while Nripen Rajbongshi was appointed as the Commander of the Chilaray Se.”
