Pradyut Bordoloi expresses concern over massive extortion in Margherita

MARGHERITA, November 1: Pradyut Bordoloi, the MLA of Margherita124 LAC has expressed concern over increasing rampant extortion demands by some extremist groups to hardworking people of Margherita. At a press meet held in Margherita, Bordoloi along with Tinsukia District Congress Committee general secretary Prabin Rajkhowa and Margherita Town Committee former chairman Saroj Roy were present. Pradyut Bordoloi said that in Margherita many businessmen and small tea growers were getting extortion demands by some extremist groups. “We are trying hard so that the growing extortion demands can be stopped as soon as Possible.   I have taken the initiative for uplift of the society in Margherita and tried to bring people of various castes, religions and communities under one platform so that development can be done,” said Pradyut Bordoloi. He added, “From the MLA LAD fund I have constructed the statue of Veer Birsa Munda at Margherita Congress Bhavan and when I was the State Industry Minister, I set up the Multi Discipliry Skill Development Training Centre at Jaya gar. These will be iugurated  by the Chief Minister,” said  Pradyut Bordoloi at the press meet today.
