Pradyut Bordoloi urges Congress workers to work hard

NAGAON: Former Congress minister and the possible Congress candidate for Nagaon parliamentary constituency, Pradyut Bordoloi on Saturday took part in a party block-level meet held at Barhampur.

Amidst speculation that Bordoloi would be the party candidate for the Nagaon parliamentary constituency this time, his presence in the meeting held at Barhampur was of much significance.

Bordoloi paid tribute to the martyrs of the Indian freedom movement. In the party meeting, Bordoloi said that he had come to Nagaon only to fight against Hindu Bangladeshis and to work for the safety of greater Assamese nationalism. He urged the party workers to work hard so that Rahul Gandhi could become the next Prime Minister of the country. He appealed to the party workers to cooperate with him in the days to come if the party high command projected him as the party candidate in Nagaon constituency.
