Prannoy, Praav-Sikki lose in quarters

Basel, March 18: India's H.S. Prannoy and the mixed doubles pair of Praav Jerry Chopra and N. Sikki Reddy lost in the quarter-fils of the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold badminton tourment here. Defending champion and fifth seed Prannoy on Friday night lost to Chinese second seed Shi Yuqi 19-21, 11-21 in 39 minutes. Praav-Sikki suffered a 19-21, 17-21 defeat in 38 minutes to Chinese fifth seed pair of Zhang n and Li Yunhui. With these two defeats, India's campaign at this Swiss city ended. IANS
