Prasanta Phukan grateful to people for keeping faith in him

Dibrugarh, May 19: Two times BJP MLA of Dibrugarh, Prasanta Phukan has been successful in retaining the prestigious Dibrugarh LAC seat for the third consecutive term by defeating his nearest Congress rival Chandra Kanta Baruah.

Phukan extended his heartfelt gratitude to the people of his constituency for keeping faith in him. He also promised to continue his development work for greater interest of the people. Phukan in his typical style, thanked the people of the State for giving a thumping victory to the BJP-led alliance and rejecting the corrupt Congress government who had brought the State to such a pitiable condition during its 15-year rule.

BJP workers and party members took out a victory procession in the town soon after results were declared   which passed through the main thoroughfare of the town.
