Pre-Bihu event

GUWAHATI, April 1: With orchids and spring getting across the same message, Assam is getting decked up in Rongali fineries to welcome Bohag. SATSAREE, an NGO, organized a pre-Bihu event at Beltola in the city on Friday. Members of the NGO demonstrated the making of pithas by grinding rice with mortar and pestle instantly, and distributing the delicacies amongst themselves. Til pitha, pitha from black rice, hutuli pitha, coconut ladu, til ladu, curd, etc., were prepared and shared amongst them. Cultural events at the function were Bihu Husori, Jeng Bihu etc.
