Pre-Bohag Bihu programme in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, March 22: Samanway Sangskritik Kala Kendra , a cultural organization of Kumarpara area in Guwahati, is going to organize a Bihu workshop from March 22 and a two-day Bihu programme from March 25. For this purpose, an organizing committee has been formed with Hiranmayee Bharali as president and Jyots Das as general secretary . As a part of the programme, various sports competitions, pitha making competition , modern dance and Bihu dance competitions have also organized. Gitima Deka, cultural secretary of the organizing committee , said that they have orgainsed the programme in advance to give a platform to the local artistes.
