Pre-Christmas celebration at Bongaigaon

KOKRAJHAR, Dec 22: The Believers Church under the Diocese of Bongaigaon celebrated the Pre-Christmas programme at the Diocese office at Maio Nwgwr, Chapaguri in Chirang district to promote love and human care on Friday.

The Diocese is overseen by the Arch Bishop Dr. Juira Bardhan, Arch Diocese, Kolkata and on the occasion, Fr. Ajay Tulsiary, Vicar General said, “We appeal to the people irrespective of caste, creed and faith to become God’s consciousness which otherwise, people will become accountable to none. Peace only God can give and it is the very need of every one”, he said.

The Diocese to promote love and strengthen the brotherhood tie among the needy has distributed some 100 good qualities of mink blanket to the neighbors and 15 bicycles to some needy individual.

On the occasion, Mrigen Basumatary, a senior school teacher, Rev. Fr. Issac Basumatary, Rev. Fr. Amiyo Basumatary were also present.
