Pre-Christmas celebration at Raj Bhawan

SHILLONG, Dec 21: Meghalaya Governor, V. Shanmugathan while speaking at a Pre-Christmas celebration at Raj Bhavan today said that churches have shown compassion and dedication towards the service of mankind. During his speech the Governor also highlighted the problems prevalent in the State some of which includes unemployment, infant mortality rate, single mothers etc… “I hope that these problems will subside in the years to come,” he said. As part of the celebration, Christmas carols were presented by the Choir Groups of Choral Evangelist Choir, Mawlai, Assam Regimental Centre and United Churches’ Association.
