Pre-poll alliance: UDP hits back at HSPDP

SHILLONG, July 4: The United Democratic Party (UDP) on Monday countered the statements made by HSPDP Chief Ardent Basaiawmoit who had appealed electorates to vote for one party in the 2018 Assembly elections to power as coalition Government has not helped. UDP working president Bindo M Lanong stated that the HSPDP is not committed to form a pre poll alliance of all regiol party in the state to oust the Congress since the HSPDP boycotted a meeting called for all non- Congress party to strike an alliance before the Tura bye-poll.
