Pre-Rabi Sanmilan and World Soil Conservation Day observed

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Dec 5: Under the initiative of Assam Agriculture  University, the Golaghat Krishi Vigyan Kendra organized a Pre-Rabi Sanmilan and World Soil Conservation Day programme at Golaghat Amateur Theatre Hall on Monday.

Attending in the programme, the MLA of Dergaon, Bhaben Bharali and MLA of Khumtai LAC, Mril Saikia delivered valuable speeches on agriculture. In the programme, Dr. Manuranjan Neog, Assam Agriculture University, delivered brief speeches on soil conservation and bio farming process in agricultural field. In the programme, an interaction programme was held with agricultural scientists Dr DD Singh of Buralikson Sugarcane Research Centre and Dr. Ranjit Choudhary of Regiol Agriculture Research Centre.

Various problems in Rabi crops were discussed in the programme and Soil Health Card was also given to 325 farmers.
