Pregnt woman dies after consuming poison

GOLAGHAT, August 16: Sensation followed the death of a seven-month pregnt woman on Sunday at the Golaghat Konshal Konwar Civil Hospital. The deceased, Rimpi Bora hailed from Borpathar area of Golaghat district under Barpathar Police station. She was admitted after she allegedly consumed poison. The doctors, after examining her, declared her dead. Rimpi’s mother alleged that her husband Bitu Bora and his family members were involved in the death of her daughter. The mother further alleged that Rimpi’s husband and in-laws had been demanding dowry and were torturing her, which might have led Rimpi to consume poison. Other hand, the husband Bitu Bora and family members said it was a suicide. Both families started quarreling over this. Filly Golaghat police arrived and controlled the situation by arresting Bitu Bora for further investigation.
