Pregnt woman found dead, husband arrested

Lakhimpur, December 6: A pregnt woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances. She was found hanging inside her bedroom at Nowboicha Silonibari on Saturday.

The deceased,  Morium Begum (22) had got married to Rasidul Islam of Silonibari two years ago. Her husband and his family claimed that she killed herself by hanging from the ceiling fan but the villagers accused the husband’s family of killing her after allegedly physically and mentally torturing her for a long time.

After the incident a case was registered at the Silonibari police station by the villages following which Rasidul Islam, his father Abdul Rahim and mother Rahima Khatoon were arrested.
