From a Correspondent

GAON (HAIBORGAON), April 20: Although the Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal-led State Government has been providing top priority to the health sector since it came to power, the reality reflects the opposite picture.

A pregnt woman on Wednesday night allegedly had to wait on a wooden bridge over hours near Tetelisara at Kampur in gaon after an ambulance was blocked in the middle of the bridge. Interestingly, the pregnt woman was carried to a nearby hospital by the 108 ambulance. But after some hours, another 102 ambulance maged to take the woman to hospital.

Soon after the unfortute incident, an irate mob on Thursday morning went on a rampage and slammed the public representatives and also alleged that no one had taken any kind of initiative to repair or renovate the bridge since the last 25 years. The irate mob demanded that the bridge must be repaired or renovated within a month and if the representatives failed to do so, they would take law in their hands. They also threatened to set the bridge on fire in front of all those public representatives.
