Preparation on for Bhogali Bihu Utsav in Goreswar

GORESWAR: The 12th annual Bhogali Bihu Utsav will be organized by the Silkijhar Bishnujyoti primary unit of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha at the premises of its naamghar with a two-day long programme from January 15.

As per programme, on January 15, Haramohan Das, Suwan Das and Dhareswar Das will set up a xarai, tree sapling will be done by Sambhuram Das and the flag will be hoisted by Sanjay Das, president of the Bhogali Bihu Utsav committee. Naam kirtan will be performed and sports competitions will be held.

On January 16, Prafulla Deka, social worker, will inaugurate the main gate of the pandal. Maheswar Basumatary, EM of BTC, will inaugurate a Nagara Naam demonstration which will be performed by Hemanta Kalita from Dhamdama and Mantu Das from Bijeli. Minister Bhabesh Kalita will attend as chief guest in the programme.
