Preparation on for Shri Shyam Fagun Mahotsav

Dibrugarh, Feb 21: Shri Shyam Fagun Mahotsav (SSFM) will  be celebrated on February 25 and February 26.

The festival, that is organized every year by Sri Shyam Sewa Samiti (SSSS), will mark the completion of 25 years this time, and hence, it has been aptly decided to observe it as Shri Shyam Fagun Mahotsav Silver Jubilee Year. As part of the celebrations, a cultural procession of Shri Shyam Prabhu will be taken out on the first day. On the next day, the procession, which will start from the premises of the Marwari Hindi School, will culmite at Shri Shyam Kalpabriksha Shri Shyam Temple, Panitola.

The occasion has been able to generate a lot of fervour among the devotees. The members of SSSS are working hard to make the event a success. According to the publicity secretary of SSSS, Lalit Sharma, a lot of devotees have also extended voluntary help for the occasion. He also informed that several devotees from various parts of Assam have contacted SSSS and expressed their willingness to take part in SSFM.
