Preparations for by-poll

DIPHU, Oct 26: Elaborate security arrangements are being made for the smooth conduct of  Baithalangso by- election on  November 19 in West Karbi Anglong, Deepak Kumar Baruah, the Deputy Commissioner informed while he was briefing the media persons at Hamren.   Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Superintendent of Police of West Karbi Anglong, said that additiol security personnel would be deployed to maintain law and order in the district during the by-election. Every polling station will be given elaborate security cover to thwart any untoward incident during poll process, the SP added. The Baithalangso MLA seat had fallen vacant owing to resigtion of Dr Mansing Rongpi. He resigned to join BJP.
