Preparations on for Bhupen Hazarika's 7th death anniversary

TANGLA: Under the joint aegis of Bhupen Hazarika Smriti Suraksha Samiti, Tangla, the seventh death anniversary of Dr Bhupen Hazarika will be observed with a day-long programme at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Smriti Bhavan on November 5. The programme will start with lighting of lamps in front of the portrait of the Bard followed by floral tributes. An all religious prayer is also scheduled. An art competition will also be held among children along with Bhupendra Sangeet competition. In the evening lamps will be lit by the people of the town.
