SIVASAGAR, March 16: Hanuman Jayanti Udjapan Samity, Sivasagar will celebrate Hanuman Jayanti with a two-day programme in Sivasagar on April 4 and April 5. For Hanuman Jayanti celebration, preparation is going on in full swing and a huge gathering of devotees at Marwary Thakurbari and Ashirvad Bhawan is expected, said Pawan Kejriwal, publicity secretary of Hanuman Jayanti Udjapan Samity. A religious procession will also be taken out in Sivasagar town on April 5, said Kejriwal. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Hanuman, the Vara god. It is celebrated during the month of Chaitra.
