WhatsApp has also restricted people from forwarding messages from now on to only 5 groups at a time. WhatsApp is one of those companies where the coders have intentionally constrain sharing. This new update has helped to reduce all the forwarded messages into different groups which in the end has limited the spread of fake news.

WhatsApp has also developed local teams so that they can make sure that with the help of government and civil society that fake news is not being spread by people. Fake news could be one of the reasons for riots breaking out in certain areas.

Facebook has also been working hard to remove Fake news from the platform. Facebook has been removing all the fake profiles from the platform which are generally there to post about different political views and change the mind of all the voters. Facebook has assured that from now on they will try to be very transparent and make sure that people know how they work. The transparency is something that Facebook has been trying to achieve for quite a long period of time.
