Preservation of manuscripts in digital format emphasized

Golaghat, Sept 9: A two-day UGC sponsored tiol workshop on Preservation of Library Materials in Northeast India was held at Debraj Roy College in Golaghat. The workshop was iugurated by the Principal of DR College, Dr Putul Chandra Saikia where keynote address was delivered by Professor Sanjay Kumar Singh, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, Gauhati University. 

 Dr Utpal Das, Deputy Librarian from Dibrugarh University along with Dr Badan Barman, Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science from Gauhati University attended the workshop as resource persons.
