Press owners' association forms executive body

GUWAHATI, May 11: The biennial conference of all The All Assam Press Owners’ Association (AAPOA), affiliated to All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), formed its new 21-member executive committee for 2015-17 with Dhiren Deka as president, Dibyajyoti Kalita as working president, Hiranya Medhi, gen Lahkar, Thaneswar Bora as vice-presidents, Jayanta Sarma as secretary, Raghabendra rayan Dutta Baruah, Kamal Barman as Assistan secretary, Satanu Bhatta, Siddhartha Bhattacharjee and Karu nda Sarma as organising secretaries, Shantu Das, Rajashri Gogoi, Saurav Jyoti th, Gunin Bora, Rajkamal Gogoi, Faijul Huque Ahmed, Dipali Dutta, Kamal Das and others as members. The committee was formed at its biennial conference held in the city recently, a press release said. The conference adopted several resolutions on revision of State Government and Textbook Production’s printing rates, opening of a modern printing Institute at Guwahati and for providing subsidy to the entrepreneurs under the North East Industrial Policy (NEIP), among others.
