Priority on long-term schemes

ITAGAR, July 29:  Aruchal Pradesh Education Minister Tapang Taloh has called upon the government officers and panchayat leaders of Siang district to propose comprehensive long term schemes for inclusion in the Vision Document-2030.

Addressing the coordition meeting for preparation of Vision Document 2030 of the district at Panging on Tuesday, Taloh exhorted all to work together to make Siang a model district.

Informing that Chief Minister bam Tuki has extended his full support to develop this infant district, the education minister said the visiory and comprehensive budget which was approved in recently held Assembly session will benefit all sections of the society especially the poor, an official communiqué informed here today.

The budget proposal will accelerate the pace of development in the state, the minister said adding many roads will be converted to state highways and various sectors like hydro power, electrical, agriculture, horticulture, forest have also been prioritised. Therefore all the officers have to propose schemes with responsibility, he added.

The tural resources should be exploited properly, the minister said adding the government employees should work dedicatedly and work culture should be improved. They should remain in their station and serve the people sincerely, he said. It is high time that we retrospect and initiate corrective measures so that the state can keep pace with the rest of the world, said Taloh.

Regarding education sector, the minister said no society can develop without proper education. He informed that sufficient fund provision has been kept in the budget for development of education sector.

The minister strongly felt that some modifications are needed in RTE for affective development of education sector in the state. Steps are being initiated to make ITIs functiol and opening of colleges, VKV, JNV, he said and appealed all to cooperate and make land available for such institutions. The minister further appealed to the civil society especially the women folks to curve the mece of alcoholism and drug abuse which will destroy the young generation. He informed that the bam Tuki government is dealing with the boundary disputes in right direction. Earlier Siang DC N Lego emphasised on preparation of the vision document with missiory zeal and cautioned that no indiscipline and negligence of duty will be tolerated. DPO Siang explained the modalities of preparing the vision document and appealed all to submit it on time, the communiqué added.
