Prisoner escapes from gaon central jail

GAON (HAIBORGAON), March 22: Sensation prevailed in gaon on Wednesday soon after a prisoner of gaon central jail ran away from the jail due to alleged negligence of the jail authority.  According to the sources, the prisoner has been identified as Abdul Hai of Juria area who was sentenced to jail for 14 years for a murder case in 2000. On Wednesday morning, the prisoner Abdul Hai went to work in the jail yard to look after the vegetables there, but under the pretext of having water, he was able to escape from the jail.  Meanwhile, when the news of his escape from the jail was flashed, the security forces of the jail concerned launched a massive search operation for him. The security forces even went to his tive village. But till filing of this report, the security forces were yet to trace him. Sources further said that the prisoner had already completed his 14 years of imprisonment for the murder case and had been in jail for another year. The jail authority allegedly had not released him. Interestingly, the prisoner Abdul Hai was on leave for a month and returned back to the jail only on February 28.
