Priya gets American University Tennis Scholarship

GUWAHATI, April 23: Intertiol Junior Tennis Player from Assam Priya Kalita received Sports Scholarship (Tennis) for four years under graduation ( Bachelors) programme from Miami University at Ohio, Oxford of the United States Of America.

 The scholarship was offered to Priya for her achievement in various Junior Intertiol Tennis Tourments played in the year 2016-17, as well as for academic excellency from Class VIII To Class XI. During the 4 year Bachelors programme, Priya will get a total amount of Rupees 1 Crore 35 Lacs in Indian Value as academic scholarship money to complete her Bachelors Degree in Sports Leadership and Magement. Apart from academic scholarship Priya will get sponsored by the brand ‘ Adidas’ to play tennis for the Miami University Redhawk Women’s Tennis Team.

Till Date, Priya has won 26 tiol Level Championships, 18 State level Championships and has recently achieved an Intertiol Junior rank of 490. Priya was the Asian Junior U-14 Doubles Runner-Up in the year 2011. She was also a medal holder at the 59th tiol School Games in 2014.
