Prize-money quiz competition

DIBRUGARH, March 10: To commemorate the 112th birth anniversary of Ja Neta Bhimbar Deori, a State-level prize money quiz competition will be held on May 16 at Bhimbar Deori Smrity Bhavan here under the aegis of Dibrugarh Deori Unyan Samity (DDUS).  Deori Autonomous Council will sponsor the entire quiz competition. The prize money of the competition are Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 for first, second and third prize respectively. According to a press communiqué issued by the secretary, DDUS, Dr Juganta Kumar Deori, the topic of the quiz is ‘The socio and cultural life of ethnic group of Northeast India with special emphasis on Deori tribe’. Students from Higher Secondary to undergraduate level can participate in group which must comprise two students. The participants only can join the competition through the head of their respective institutions.
