Prizes given away to winners of river fest events

Dibrugarh, April 12: To celebrate the success of the recently concluded five-day mami Brahmaputra Festival , an award and certificate distribution ceremony was organized under the aegis of the district administration at the District Library Auditorium on Wednesday.

 The event was attended by Jorhat MP, Kamakhya Prasad Tasha; Dibrugarh MLA, Prashanta Phukan ; Duliajan MLA, Teros Gowala; Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri , District Development Commissioner, Oim Saran Kumar Singh; Additiol Commissioner , Ankur Bhorali, Jyost Sonowal , Indra Gogoi and several other dignitaries.

  During the function, prizes were given away to the winners of the quiz , essay, painting and Bhupendra Sangeet  competition which were held as part of the mami festival. Addressing the function, Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri conveyed her gratitude to all the stakeholders and persons concerned who had extended their help and cooperation in making the festival a success.

  The district administration also gave away Certificate of Appreciation to painter Khargapani Barman , Eureka Driving Centre , Marwari Yuba Mancha , self-help groups and other socio organizations , volunteers of Public Health Engineering department  for their overall involvement in the beautification of Dibrugarh town.
