Pro-talk ULFA leader Jiten Dutta sent to judicial custody

GUWAHATI: The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Kamrup (M) sent pro-talk ULFA leader Jiten Dutta to judicial custody on Saturday. The development came a day after the court sending other pro-talk ULFA leader Mrinal Hazarika to judicial custody.

Jiten Dutta was arrested on Friday at Gaurisagar by the police while acting on a case (448/18 u/s 153/153-A) filed by All BTC Bengali Youth Students’ Federation secretary Rahul Ghosh at Geeta Nagar Police Station, Guwahati.

While being produced in the court, the ULFA leader said: “I’ll keep making statements for the interest of Assam. I’m not going to compromise.”
