Problems of employees discussed during meeting of Dibrugarh workmen's body

Dibrugarh, March 30: An executive committee meeting of the District Karmachari Parishad (DKP), with president Indra Gogoi in chair , was recently held at the Srimanta Sankardev Auditorium of DHSK College, wherein the members of DKP welcomed the officials and employees who had recently joined the district with books and gamosa. The members of DKP then interacted with the officials and employees.

The welcome meeting was iugurated by the Principal of DHSK College, Dr. Sasi Kanta Saikia, and was attended amongst others by Principal of AMCH, Dr. Ratan Kumar Kataki ; Inspector of Schools, Semima Yasmin Aara Rahman; president of District Xahitya Sabha, Krish Kanta Bora and secretary of Adhividya Parishad, sir Sultan.  Speakers broadly discussed on the different aspects of the employees’ society thereby assessing DKP’s policies and the resultant success ratio.

In the gathering, the president of All Assam Karmachari Parishad (AAKP) Basab Chandra Kalita, as the chief guest, delivered his speech saying that till date the Parishad had been positively thriving to resolve the tribulations of the employees. The high-handed activities of the senior officials and the slow system of file processing in government offices, have laid hindrances in the works of the Parishad for which the employees of the State have suffered a lot, affirmed Kalita.

The DKP meeting was also attended by the organizing secretary of AAKP and member of steering Committee, Shyamanta Das; secretary of the District High School Union, Numol Gogoi; president of Madhyamik School Teachers and Employees’ Union, Hiranya Sepati; former president of DKP, Mridul Sarmah and president and secretaries of eight regiol committees under DKP and district executive members.

The meeting resolved a number of decisions including restructure of regiol units and to constitute a special fact finding committee, besides discussion on various organizatiol aspects of the Parishad.
