Process begins for doorstep delivery of food grains

Hailakandi, Feb 28: The process for doorstep delivery of food grains under tiol Food Security Act (NFSA) for 2018-19 has begun in Hailakandi district. In an order, the district administration has directed the transport contractors for transportation of food grains from Food Corporation of India godowns to Gaon Panchayat Sammabai Samitee godowns and from there to fair price dealers and agents. Two-tier system has been adopted for transportation and distribution of food grains under NFSA 2013.
