Progress of development projects reviewed at DDC meeting

DIBRUGARH, June 10: The District Development Committee (DDC) meeting was held on Wednesday at the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC). The meeting  reviewed the progress of various development projects of the government, being implemented by the different  government departments in general and implementation of  resolutions  that were taken at the recently held meeting between the Chief Minister and DCs.

The Upper Assam Commissioner, Anurag Goyel while attending the meeting, directed the officials of the different departments to complete the projects on time and asked them to intimate the DC if any problems cropped up during implementation of the projects. Goyal suggested that the heads of various departments should review the progress of the implementing schemes with the ADC concerned before submitting the same before the DDC meeting. The Commissioner also emphasized the need for wide media coverage of success stories achieved by the different government departments.

Besides the  development work of various State departments, the Committee even reviewed the progress of Health, Education, Handloom and Textile and Public Health Engineering departments.
