Prohibitory order imposed

Tezpur, April 10: In order to maintain law and order situation in the district, Additiol District Magistrate, Sonitpur, Kishan Kumar Sarmah, on Tuesday issued a prohibitory order under section 144 in Sonitpur district. Through the order, the district administration has put restrictions on forceful collection of dotions and contribution from individuals and business establishment.

 It further said that restrictions has also been imposed on institutions, Bihu committee and NGOs on forcefully collecting from passengers and vehicle drivers by stopping running vehicles, basically in tiol highways. Such activities are illegal which cause serious accidents and disturbs normal life of citizens. This order has been enforced in the entire district with immediate effect and will be continued until further order.
