Project LIFE lunched

SHILLONG, Feb 16: ‘Project LIFE’, an initiative of the Union Ministry of Rural Development, was today launched at Dymmiew, under Pynursla CR&D Block, East Khasi Hills. Speaking at the launch function, Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Society (MSRLS) CEO, C Kharkongor reminded the trainees on the need to focus on farming and allied activities considering the dearth of employment opportunities in the government sector. She expressed hope that the six-day training programme spread across different sessions with training in various trades including piggery, poultry farming and agriculture would go a long way towards ensuring that the participants have access to sustaible livelihood.
