Prominent businessman passes away

GAURISAGAR, Sept 5: Biren Borah, a resident of Gaurisagar, a prominent businessman and proprietor of Gauri Hardware Stores passed away on Sunday morning due to heart failure. He was 70. He was undergoing  treatment at Sivasagar Pragati Nursing Home since Friday morning. Besides business, he was actively associated with various social organizations of the locality. He held the post of president and secretary of Gaurisagar Bor amghar Parichala Samiti. He took initiative in establishment of a public cremation ground at Gaurisagar. His demise has been widely mourned. He is survived by his mother, wife, two sons, two brothers and a host of relatives.
