Prominent social worker passes away

Kokrajhar, Feb 7: Noted social worker of Kokrajhar, Balladev rzary of Bhatopara, Kokrajhar died on Tuesday evening at the age of 105 years due to old-age ailment. He leaves behind two sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. rzary was the president of Kokrajhar Law College and was an active member of the governing bodies of Kokrajhar Government College, Kokrajhar Commerce College, Kokrajhar Science College and Kokrajhar Girls’ HS School, and was a retired teacher of Kokrajhar Government HS and MP School. He was a sincere teacher.

Principals and teachers of various colleges and schools, leaders of different organizations, intellectuals and well-wishers rushed his residence and paid floral tribute.  BTC EM of Sports and Youth Welfare, Doneswar Goyary, who was once his student, expressed grief over his demise and said the local people of Kokrajhar had lost a prominent persolity.

Meanwhile, his body was taken to Kokrajhar Government HS and MP School, Kokrajhar Government College, Kokrajhar Commerce College, Science College, Law College and Kokrajhar Girls’ HS School where teachers and students paid floral tribute. Later, his body was cremated at his Bhatipara village in presence of a large number of people.
