Prominent teacher passes away

MANGALDAI, Nov 18: Bharat Ch th (87), a retired teacher of Sipajhar Higher Secondary and Multipurpose School, a prominent writer, literary organizer and a resident of Balipara village, Sipajhar passed away on Saturday at his residence following old-age ailments.
He was the former president of Sipajhar unit of Xahitya Sabha and vice-president of  Darrang Zila Xahitya Xabha. He has authored several books, including Adhyatma Vidya Parichoy,  Karmajyoti, Vigyani aaru Sikshavidaloi Mukoli Aahban and his autobiography Jivan Jigyasa, among others. He helped in economic uplift of his village through scientific pisciculture. He leaves behind his wife, two sons including eminent florist and entrepreneur Hiranya Kumar th, and three married daughters, besides a host of relatives and well-wishers. His death has been widely mourned in entire Sipajhar area.
