Proper infrastructure, facilities needed in most schools: MLA

HOWRAGHAT, Oct 14: Massive cleanliness drive was carried out at Howraghat Community Block Health Centre (CHC) in support of Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) and Howraghat localities.
Howraghat Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Joyram Engleng, local MAC and EM for Health and Family Welfare Department, KAAC, Khonsing Rongpi, doctors, nurses and officials of the medical department actively joined in the cleanliness drive on Saturday. The cleanliness drive was carried out under the banner of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which was started from Howraghat CHC campus to along Howraghat town.
While taking part in the cleanliness drive, local MLA Joyram Engleng said that like Gunotsav was observed in the education sector, maintence of cleanliness in health centres had also been undertaken in the health centres. “This initiative started from today at Howraghat CHC and Dokmoka PHC respectively, keeping an aim for a hygienic environment in health centres as well as adjoining areas,” Engleng said.
He said that congenial atmosphere for quality education and discipline should be continued in future too, Engleng added. However, he said that more facilities and adequate infrastructure were needed in most of schools. Sufficient infrastructure in most of the schools is required to ensure security and to motivate students towards the field of education, Engleng said.
But in addition to this issue, the State Government is ready and trying to address various issues faced by the teachers. All the issues will be addressed one after another by the government, Engleng assured.
