Protest against appointment of non-Assamese as BCPL MD

 Lakhimpur, Aug 22 : The Lakhimpur District Regiol Committee of All Assam Nibonua Santha stated in a press release that they were against the appointment of a non-Assamese as the maging director (MD) of BCPL.  The president of the organization, Binod Das and secretary Chirantan Hazarika demanded appointment of Daben Borgohain as the MD of gas cracker project instead of AK Singh. Moreover, activists of the organization burnt the effigy of Union Minister Rajth Singh in North Lakhimpur town on Saturday as AK Singh was reportedly appointed on his advice. They demanded that BJP MP from Assam and Union Minister Sarbanda Sonowal should take adequate steps for appointment of Daben Borgohain as the MD of the gas cracker project.
