Goalpara, February 8: Activists of the All Assam Goria–Moria–Deshi Jatiya Parishad burnt the effigy of Prime Minister rendra Modi on Sunday in protest against the use of the word ‘immigrants’ for the Northeast people living in Delhi in the BJP’s Vision Document. The protest was organized at yapara point where the supporters and members of the organization also shouted slogans against PM rendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Union Minister Sarbanda Sonowal. Later, in a press release, district publicity secretary Rizwan–ul– Islam and assistant general secretary Saif–ul–Islam asked the BJP to change its negative outlook and not to insult the people of the Northeast.
