Protest against BJP’s Vision Document

GAURISAGAR, February 7: The activists of Gaurisagar Block Congress Committee burnt the effigy of Prime Minister rendra Modi and MP Sarbanonda Sonowal on Friday at Gaurisagar Tiniali.  The Congress activists led by Biswa Kanta Baruah and Suren Borah, president and secretary of Gaurisagar Block Congress  Committee  respectively, staged a  dhar by shouting slogans like ‘BJP murdabad’, ‘PM Modi and MP Sarbanonda Sonowal murdabad’ in front of Gaurisagar BDO office in protest against BJP’s Vision Document in which the people  of the Northeast living in Delhi have been called immigrants.  Later a memorandum was submitted to the President of India through BDO Gaurisagar. Chandi Gogoi, general secretary, Sivasagar District Congress Committee, Monju Borah, president, Gaurisagar Anchalik Panchayat, Prafulla Gogoi and Thaneswar Saikia, presidents of Hatighuli and Kawaimari Gaon Panchayat accompanied  the team.
