MARGHERITA, July 18: Activists of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (S) on Monday took out a protest rally from Margherita central field to Margherita Sub Divisiol Office(C) in protest against the growing jehadi and ISIS threat in Assam, against the Central Government’s decision to auction at least 12 oil fields of Assam to private companies and against the growing price rise.

The activists of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (S) shouted various slogans against both the Central and State Governments. Moinur Haque Talukdar, vice-president of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (S) Central Committee and Mun Ansari, president of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (S) Margherita Town Regiol Committee, said that jehadis and ISIS militants had no religion and they had no place in Islam.

“We feel that some anti-social elements want to bring turmoil in the region in the me of jehadis and ISIS in order to malign Islam. We demand tight security in the border areas of Assam so that infiltrators cannot enter Assam. We also demand rollback of the Central Government’s decision to auction at least 12 oil fields of Assam to private companies and also to control price rise,” said Moinur Haque Talukdar and Mun Ansari. A memorandum was submitted to the Central Government and State Government through the Margherita Subdivisiol Officer (C).
