Protest against teacher's transfer

 FROM OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT

IMPHAL, April 8: The All Manipur Muslim Students’ Organisation,(AMMSO) has taken strong exception to the way Laishram Molisa, UPT(SSA) has been transferred. A press statement issued today said that instead of sending teachers against the vacant posts, the education department is transferring away the teacher.

Farid Khan, president of the AMMSO says that representatives had inspected Haoreibi Mayai Leikai Primary school. People thought that the school would be closed down. However the school magement, Haoreibi Ideal Development Association did everything to revamp it. There are 250 students. Since the nine teachers cannot teach all the students, four local youths were hired for teaching the students.

At this juncture the government had transferred away Molisa on April 6. Since it is unreasoble the two organisations are demanding cancellation of the transfer order. They are also appealing to the local MLA and the minister  to look into the matter. They further said that if the transfer order is not cancelled, they will launch an agitation.
