DEMOW, June 23: In Thowra Constituency under Nitai Mouza, the bridge which is in Nitaipukhuri Pahukhuwa area in the historic Bhimbor Deori Ali Road is in a pathetic condition. From the last few months the bridge has posed a serious risk for those who play on the bridge as well as for the school and college goers and for others. The residents of the area added that the engineers had not completed their work during the tenure of the former government and the local MLA had not taken any measure to solve the problem. “Due to Dilapidated condition of the bridge many road accidents took place,” said a resident of the area. On Friday people of the Nitaipukhuri Pahukhuwa area had staged two hours road blocked programme on the bridge. However, the Demow Circle Officer reached the area and took stock of the situation. The protesters had submitted a memorandum to the Demow Circle Officer on Friday and in the demanded repairmen of the bridge within 7 days. They also demanded to take action against those engineers, who misappropriated the government fund in building the Bridge
