Protest called off

lbari, Aug 1: The All Assam Municipal Employees Union yesterday decided to call off their ongoing strike after a discussion with the Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. A discussion was held yesterday at Dispur between the Chief Minister and the leaders of the Union, the chief Minister supported their demands of the Union and promised to take necessary steps to solve their problems. It can be noted that the employees of the municipality of the whole state had been staging dhar in support of their demands.
