Protest in tea estate against alleged anomalies in appointments

Golaghat, June 20: On Monday morning several labourers along with tea tribes students’ union leaders and members gheraoed the office of the mager of Duckenhengera Tea Estate in Golaghat protesting against alleged anomalies in recruitment of staff in the garden. The protesters alleged that the Duckenhengera Tea Estate authorities had recently conducted written and viva test for the recruitment of staff. But now without declaring the results the authorities have made appointments in those posts. The protesters alleged that these appointments were made by taking money and depriving the deserved candidates . However, the garden authorities denied such allegations.
