Protest rally against assault on scribe

DIBRUGARH, February 2: Members of Dibrugarh Press Club (DPC) and Greater Dibrugarh Press Club (GDPC) took out a protest rally on Monday  demanding action against the police officials responsible for the atrocity on jourlists in Guwahati on recently.

The demonstrators displayed placards and shouted slogans, walked to the office of the Deputy Commissioner and lodged their protest there. Members of other organizations, like Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti, Asom Yuba Manch, ATASU, All Mottock Students’ Union and others took part in the rally. A team of jourlists submitted a memorandum to the DC in which they demanded action against the police officials responsible for the assault of two media persons.
