Protest rally by Rose Valley employees in Jorhat

JORHAT, April 29: The Joint Forum of Rose Valley Jorhat Divisiol Committee organized a mass rally consisting of its members in Jorhat on Wednesday starting from Gar-Ali and culmited in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner. They submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

The memorandum stated that the Joint Forum of All India Employees Trade Unions, active in the different States of the country, was also a platform of Rose Valley Marketing members (apolitical) and that the protest rally had been organized to press for the fulfilment of the long-standing demands that include immediate defreezing of all 2600 bank accounts and lifting the embargo on disposable properties to clear all pending payments to customers and to save the livelihood of 10 lakh employees in Pan India by keeping the company afloat with proper regulatory checks and balances considering the permission given by the Gauhati High Court dated 01.08.2013 on continuation of business.

The forum further appealed for immediate measures to ensure the safety and security of the investment of 2.44 crore customers and the company’s properties. The forum also reiterated that the Rose Valley Company had been cooperating with the investigating agencies and termed the arrest of the Group Chairman on April 25 as most unfortute, which had in turn created a social archy among the three crore people in Pan India.

In the memorandum, the forum appealed for justice without delay and denial.
